The Medical Surgical Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, assessing, planning, implementing, reassessing and evaluating the patient care provided in the Medical/Surgical department under the direction of the Medical Surgical Nursing Director. The Clinical Coordinator assists the director in supervision of the nursing team to ensure quality care and satisfaction of the patient throughout hospitalization. Responsibility for the supervision of this unit will be reflective of the hospital's philosophy and objectives. The Clinical Coordinator must be able to identify opportunities for improvement and initiate appropriate measures to ensure quality patient care.Responsible for compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the area (Reports to Department Director)Responsible for compliance with standards during assigned shift Uses established principles of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery of patient care during their assigned shiftUses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.


* Current Pennsylvania RN licensure
* Current BLS Certification
* 3-5 years Recent Acute Care experience required
