LMV Automotive Systems, a manufacturing division of Magnas Cosma International operating unit, employs approximately over 600 people who produce welded body assemblies for automakers. Summary:To assist the Human Resources Manager with all aspects of employee training, including technical, health & safety and leadership hands-on shop floor training.
Job Responsibilities: (This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Employees will be required to follow any other job related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their manager.) 1.Ensure Magnas Human Resources systems and policies are consistently applied based on principles of Magnas Employees Charter, and are in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.2.Schedule participants for training in technical, health and safety, leadership, hands on shop floor, environmental and management courses. 3.Maintain schedules of instructors for in-house and off-site training.4.Create and update course material.5.Produce training manuals for all course participants.6.Order training material from outside suppliers.7.Organize and summarize course evaluations.8.Issue certificates to all course participants.9.Develop and coordinate issuance of LMV Training Program Calendar and updates.10.Maintain a library of outside training providers.11.Assist internal and external training stall with general administration of training functions.12.Coordinate training function, booking of instructors, training rooms, catering service, travel arrangements, etc.13.Develop and present training on selected Technical, hands on shop floor, and management training courses.14.Research, anticipate, develop, schedule, evaluate and document all training required to satisfy customers.15.Provide management with action plans regarding training and updates on programs and proposals. 16.Conduct in-house training as required and assist supervisors in developing job training procedures, operating instructions and communication and training skills.17.Conduct new employee orientations including tours and preliminary safety training. 18.Document budget allocations and proposed expenditures related to training, and show all returns on investments. 19.Develop related policies and procedures for division operating manual.20.Responsible for adhering to regulations under OSHA.21.Provide counsel and support to Human Resources Manager.22.Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example.23.Promote and facilitate Open Door process and Fair Treatment.24.Participate in Continual Improvement activities.25.Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies.26.Follows and supports LMV Automotive Systems and Magnas operating principles, including: a.Magna Employee Charter Operating under its principles by treating all employees equally, fairly and with dignity and respect.b.Open Door Policy Solves issues with two-way, open and friendly communication.c.5S Maintains and promotes good housekeeping by following the philosophy Everything has a place. Knowledge and Education
Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED.Post-secondary education in business, human resources or related field.
Three years experience in human resources field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

The work environment is primarily office and includes manufacturing plant. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with Team Members, management, customers and suppliers.Flexible/additional hours as required.
