Description By supporting the Private Bank's relationship managers, to anchor private client relationships to HSBC by providing clients with a first class, solutions-driven service in relation to the protection, accumulation and distribution of their wealth. Achieve trust sales targets through assigned sales channels and support new business initiatives Refer potential insurance business to authorized brokers Handling initial asset injection and fee collection Ensure client satisfaction and proper pricing & trust structuring Comply with all relevant policies & regulations ResponsibilitiesPerformance Achieve quantitative and qualitative objectives on Wealth Planner Scorecard through assigned sales channels, primarily the HNW segment At a minimum should generate revenue sufficient to cover fully loaded costs with a recommended target of 1.2 times fully loaded costs depending on the market conditions Facilitation of acquisition of new assets for HSBC Private Bank Net new money target assigned as appropriate depending on the market with approval of the business manager and a cost contribution New Business Development Responsibility level Marketing to pre-profiled clients and prospects in the HNW segment As appropriate assist and collaborate with the Sr. WP or WP Head on complex cases for the UHNW segment (revenue share to be agreed in advance) Promotion of PWS' value proposition within HSBC Exposed Accounts - act as a catalyst for the conversion of accounts in sole or joint names that hold a minimum of USD 5 million to a PWS CORE solution Data base mining and management Identification and analysis of exposed accounts (to include possible structured solutions for each exposed account) Exposed Account interviews with private bankers (making the private banker aware of available structured solutions) Assist the RMs in converting the exposed accounts to PWS structured solutions Internal Marketing Drawing upon approved materials on PWS' private team iNET site, provide background to bankers on all aspects of PWS structured solutions, including the benefits accruing to clients, the use and limitations of the structured solutions, the documentation required, the business submission and acceptance process and areas of ongoing/future administration Sales Facilitation Proactive pipeline management and prepare monthly reports for periodic review with WP Head Work with WP executive to ensure that all outstanding matters for pending cases are promptly handled Training Working together with the WP executive, prepare documentation integrity clinics for private bankers and office support staff for PWS solutions Working with relevant team members, conduct training and seminars on topics of relevance for the RMs Sales Direct involvement in all facets of the sales process for CORE and Non-CORE solutions for the HNW segment Ensure that funding of structures is carried out in a timely manner (within 2 months of compliance approval) Product knowledge level Maintain and continue to develop a sound knowledge of planning opportunities, and relevant products and services available from Group sources and elsewhere in order to provide the best possible support to the relationship managers. Projects and tasks Completion of group or individual projects as are assigned from time to time Communication and reporting Ensure all relevant parties are kept informed of the important issues and developments related to PWS Wealth Planning. These parties include the Regional Head of Wealth Planning, bankers, their management, and the FSUs Timely completion of contact reports, pipeline reports, monthly reports for submission to the WP Head Attendance at sales meetings and troika meetings Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy. Professional awareness Maintain an understanding of economic/business/tax/property/legal/compliance and other relevant matters to a standard that is commensurate with the exacting nature of the existing and target customer base Act as a good ambassador and work towards the best interests of PBGB and the Group as a whole in all dealings with internal and external personnel. Networking Develop network of Group and External professional contacts with the aim of (a) maximizing value added to clients (b) enhancing technical knowledge and (c) promoting the good name of the Group Establish close working relationships with lawyers, financial planners, and tax advisors. Qualifications Understanding of basic generational planning and wealth structuring principles Basic understanding of trust and company law in the jurisdictions where Private Wealth Solutions has a presence Basic understanding of wealth planning opportunities applicable to PWS target populations and key markets Cultural awareness, some business travel will be required Working knowledge of PWS' documentary requirements, pricing policy, and ability to write letters of wishes Strong skills utilizing Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Fluent Spanish language skills are a requirement, verbal and written Ability to build and maintain relationships - within HSBC Private Bank, the Group, and professional groups externally Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and strong business closing skills.
