CHARLOTTE WATER (CLTWATER) is seeking a full time . CLTWater is an enterprise department of the City of Charlotte with more than $3 billion in assets. CLTWater is one of the largest public water and sewer service providers in the southeast with more than 260,000 customer accounts and over 900 employees.

CLTWaters annual budget is approximately $400M including operating and debt service costs. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Zones balance scorecard, performance tracking and communication of results
Mentor the team on best practices while assisting the team in remaining focused on tasks
Resolve conflicts within and between zones
Responsible for zone employees learning and development plans in the Matrix system
Conducts performance reviews, recommends merit increases, and conducts disciplinary corrective actions
Requires considerable initiative, independent judgment, exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead and facilitate change.
Lead and manage a Zone team in the operation and maintenance of a 1,000 miles of water distribution and 1,000 miles of wastewater collection system
Participate in the operations management planning of a division
Develop and manage specified zones operation plan and budget
Define and acquire necessary personnel, equipment, materials and supplies to support zone operations
Maintain the balance scorecard for the zone, along with performance tracking and communication of results
Mentor the team on best practices
Assist the team in remaining focused on tasks
Resolve conflicts within and between zones
Conducts performance reviews, recommends merit increases, and conducts disciplinary corrective actions
Must respond to emergencies
Facilitate emergency response planning

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree with five (5) years of relevant work experience in related management and supervisory work; Bachelors degree with three (3) years of relevant work experience in related management and supervisory work; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential job duties

Preferred Requirements:
10 years water and/or wastewater experience
Knowledge in SSO reduction and techniques

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to direct learning and development plans in the Matrix system
Must demonstrate initiative and independent judgment
Have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to lead and facilitate change
Have excellent computer skills

Licenses or Certifications:
Ability to obtain the highest levels of Distribution and Collections certification
Valid drivers license
Eligible for a City driving permit
